Great Central Railway and The Battlefield Line
1st August 2006

In the mid 1970's I was a member of the then Bristol Suburban Railway (BSR) , now the Avon Valley Railway.

The BSR used to run excursions to many different preserved lines.

This gallery contains photos from a very wet trip that combined the Great Central and The Battlefield line in, I would say, 1975 based on the fact that the Duke was in the shed and according to the records left Barry in 1975.

It must have been a fair old journey from Bristol to Loughborough back then.
